これだけたくさんの靴が店頭にもネット上にもうこれ以上作る？疑問になる程時代に、わざわざ手間をかけてどうして既に売っているの靴を自分の手で作るのか。   時間がかかる。 なんならお金も買うよりかかる。   それでも「自分で使うものを自分で作りたい」その理由は何なのか、を整理してみました。   1.「良いものの凄さがわかる。」 自分で作ってみると、身の回りにある全ての「誰かが作ったもの」の凄さに感動と感謝を感じるようになります。 どれだけ工夫され、考えられ、実現するために途方のない努力が行われているかが感じ取ることができます。   なかなか目に見えないですが、経験を技術の積み重ねの上に出来上がっているものの価値が分かります。 Loper Shoesは、売っている靴くらい履き心地がよく、クオリティが高くなることを目指してデザインされ構築されていますが、 絶対に熟練の職人さんの技で作られたものには敵いません。 でもそれでいいんです。それがいいんじゃないかとすら思います。     2.「楽しい。」 これはもう人間が太古から長い間生命脈々と続けていく中で、深くDNAに刻み込まれた本能なのではないかと思うくらい、 ものを作っている人の横顔は輝いています。 そして完成した瞬間の笑顔は素敵です。 ものづくりには脳を幸福にするアドレナリンが出るのではないでしょうか？ できないと思っていたことができるようになる。 そしてそれを履いて外に出かけることができる。 自己肯定感爆あがり体験だと思います。   3「仕組みを知っているから、直せるし、進化させていける。」 大人になって、世の中を知れば知るほど、知らない人は損するし、知っている人は得をする。そんなふうに感じることが多いですよね。 誰かにとってはすごく簡単なことでも、誰かにとってはすごく難しいことがあり、金銭を交換してやってもらったり、やってあげたり そんなふうに世の中は成り立っているのだと思います。 大体の固定概念は親や家庭環境で作られていて、大体のことは「みんなこうだから」「そう言うもの」と言うふうに思考停止して 何も考えないままお金を使って解決してしまう。 そのくらい、みんな忙しいのかもしれないし、それはそれで正解なのかもしれない。 仕組みを知ると言うことは時間がかかるし、手間がかかる。でも自分で一度作ってみると、修理が自分でできるようになるし、 なんならちょっと気分転換に色を変えたり素材を変えたり。 よくするために工夫を凝らして自分なりに進化することができる。 その進化は明らかに毎日がより豊かで幸福なものになる第一歩なのではないかと思っている。
